It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I started posting Hotblood! online! This has been my first attempt at an ongoing comic project, and from the start I’ve been in a constant state of shock at how working on it has changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. The excellent people, opportunities, and places I’ve been introduced to through this comic are to are too numerous to begin to list here, but I hope it’s enough to say that I feel like I am totally, completely Living the Dream– and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my friends, peers, and readers.
And so: thank you all a thousand times for your kindness!! I never expected anything to come of drawing a webcomic about centaurs, and, well, I’ve never been more happy to be proven wrong. There are a whole lot of cool developments on the horizon (in the comic and my life) and I can’t wait to see what happens~ here’s to another year of comic!! *✲ﾟ*｡✧♡
I really hope your girlfriend realizes she’s dating a pathetic waste of a human being and finds someone infinitely better.
A lot of lesbians are turned off by the idea of their gf having sex with men. Why is that such a bad thing? Why is it so wrong to only like women who like other women? I think the anon who asked this should be honest with her gf and break up with her though if it’s that much of a turn off.
At first I wasn’t going to reply to comments like these but now that I’ve had a couple of beers the idea of repeatedly hitting my head against a brick wall seems more enjoyable so here we go.
I have a problem with lesbians who claim that they have a “preference” towards dating other lesbians over bisexuals. I understand having a preference, I personally have a preference for girls who are my height or taller than me. However, does this preference make me view my own voice, safety, and representation in my community as superior and of more importance than those I do not have a preference for? Nope. That’s why this anon (and unfortunately other like minded individuals) don’t have a “preference” they are biphobic and overall prejudicial assholes.
If you’re not comfortable dating bisexual people because you feel they will ultimately leave you for the opposite sex or (insert other stereotypical view of bisexuals) you don’t have a preference, you are biphobic, and have some huge insecurities that you should probably deal with before you enter a relationship.
If you’re a lesbian and do not feel comfortable dating a woman who is also attracted to individuals with dicks because you find it “icky” or “gross”, it must blow your mind when you find out your partner likes watermelon and you don’t. How do you even move forward from there? Is the relationship just doomed? And yes it is the same thing. Those individuals are judging someone based on something they cannot control.
Prejudice and phobia inside the queer community is something I will never understand and is absolutely infuriating.
^^^ This. This. This. ^^^
Stop kicking me out of my own damn community.
Not to mention Anon is fucking cissexist. Not all women have vaginas so you could meet a lesbian who has has sex with a woman with a penis.
If you’re afraid of dating bisexuals because they might wake up one day and realize they can do better than you then YOU ARE RIGHT
same goes for lesbians really
Just anybody, anybody dating a bigoted ass like you can do better and it has nothing to do with their preferences but it has everything to do with your prejudice
#WORD #she’s SUPER SCARY and i love it#this photoset doesn’t even include like#turning a journalist into a beetle and keeping her captive#permanently disfiguring a fellow student for not holding up under pressure#erasing her parents’ identities without giving them any agency or choice
One of my favorite things about Hermione is how ruthlessly practical she is. She’s scary because not only is she book smart; she can take in disparate pieces of information and triage the ever loving shit out of that. Piece X and piece F go together so resolution M. And her mind is quick enough that she makes those choices in seconds. Well-informed choices that also combine instinct. For as much as she’s a bookworm who overthinks things, it’s because she has too much time on her hands to overthink things. Basically, Hermione is built for war. She’s built for conflict and strategy.
Does she always make the “right” or the “good” choices? No. No, she doesn’t. She pulls some truly horrific shit, but out of all of the kids, she’s got the ability to see the breadth that the others don’t. That they shouldn’t. And for all that she does have the ability to see the true size of the fuckery that is going on, she’s also still a child. So she fucks up and learns. And for as horrific as what she did to her parents is - because oh my god - this war is not one they could even comprehend let alone participate in. And I do think it’s a discredit to Hermione to think that she doesn’t get how awful the thing she did is. She knows and she did it anyway because above all else, she wanted them alive to a.) hate her or b.) never knew she existed.
Hermione is a General by the end of this. And the most amazing and horrific thing about that is that she’ll have to deal with the consequences of the choices she made. She was smart enough to know that, going in. So the fact that she walked into this, eyes open, with a truly strong grasp of what actually was going to happen, rather than rose glasses, makes her all the more amazing to me.
(ETA: Even though I don’t condone physical violence, one of my favorite moments is Hermione hitting Harry over the head with the parchment. Because he’s all “I should totally hit it with that fangirl cuz!” and she’s all a.) stop thinking you’re that special, I’ve met you and b.) you don’t treat women like that, even though they think they want you to. Be the better person, Potter. She achieves this with a whack to the head and a glare. LOVE YOU HERMIONE.)
Taken from reddit but it can’t be stressed enough
Making fun of fat people at the gym is like making fun of sick people at the hospital.
"Lol wow you’re doing chemotherapy? Clearly you suck at it if you still have cancer."
